Google and HTC on Thursday announced a new version of the HTC One that runs a clean version of Android.without any added overlays. The smartphone will be available on June 26th for $599 through Google Play, alongside a variety of Nexus devices and the Google Edition of the Galaxy S4. HTC isn’t looking to burn bridges with early adopters, however. The company confirmed to The Verge that it is currently “examining the best way to support early adopters of the One” who may prefer stock Android over Sense. The Verge speculates that HTC could release an update to remove the Sense user interface in the form of a stock Android ROM, however no specific details were given.
