In part two of our interview with Ghostface Killah, he talks about how the music game has changed over the past twenty years and even compares himself to an old grandma. He also talks about keeping up with the demand for new music, keeping himself in front of the new generation and how fans’ interests in rap have evolved over time.
When talking about having to do music his way, he says, “I’m just stuck in the old-fashioned way. I’m just like an old grandmother or grandfather that likes to bake pies, but it’s gotta be my way...I can’t leave the butter out; I gotta put it in.”
“People don’t like to think… the thinking is gone. So I realized I have do like two to three albums a year for different people. So the newer generation knows who I am, almost like a lawyer. I came to figure that out this year that this is what you gotta do to stay in these people’s faces and just work, and it’s nothing but music.
