And SID is short for Station ID. This differs from city to city on any CDMA network such as Cricket, Verizon, etc. For example, Lincoln is 5756.

Google is your friend for these terms. For example, I typed in "SID Cell Phones" and it gave me the definition. My suggestion would be to create a post in the breakroom part of the forum and see if there is someone in your area. Most of us will do it for a reduced rate or perhaps a trade for something.

You can seriously damage your Droid if you do the wrong thing. It is fairly advanced and the process is lengthy. Not the best phone for a beginner.
