An administrative law judge with the U.S. International Trade Commission issued a preliminary ruling today that finds Samsung guilty of infringing on several smartphone patents held by Apple. One of the patents pertains to design elements and the other three patents pertain to utilities, though the judge also said Samsung was not guilty of infringing on two of Apple's claims. The ruling will be reviewed by the full counsel later this year before it is finalized. The patents involved cover a wide array of Samsung's smartphones and tablets. The two companies continue to spar in courtrooms around the world over patents.
