Default Have reached maximum com ports, what to do...

...On 2 machines I have reached the maximum amount of com ports, I have been re-assigning them but not sure what will happen if I plug in that old phone again. Some advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

That really easy to fix in regedit. follow this.....
Click Start | Run, type RegEdit and then click OK.

Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\COM Name Arbiter key.

Highlight COM Name Arbiter.then click on ComDB and open it. delete all hit ok restart your computer and done.

Now your computer will refresh all comports to comport 4
