Apple today provided more information about iOS 6, the next version of its smartphone and tablet platform. Some of the new features discussed today include a panorama mode for the camera, allowing users to capture wide vistas. iOS 6 will include the new Apple Maps app, which Apple says is chock full of 100 million points of interest worldwide, and offers cinematic camera angles for flying around. Apple also reiterated features, such as VIPs in the mail app, Passbook for tickets to events/transportation, and iCloud integration with the Safari browser. Siri also gains new features, including the ability to decipher more subjective speech, integration with movie theaters, times and reviews, and sports scores.
