An Apple executive today revealed that Microsoft has licensed design patents, but agreed to an "anti-cloning" clause that prevented Microsoft from copying some of Apple's iPhone and iPad designs in its own products. The information came from Boris Teksler, an Apple executive who testified in the Apple/Samsung patent trial today. Teksler also revealed that Apple reached out to Samsung in 2010 regarding patent licenses, but Samsung refused Apple's offer.
