Apple will not be allowed to pursue a patent-related lawsuit against Eastman Kodak while the ailing imaging giant is restructuring under bankruptcy protection. The judge overseeing Kodak's bankruptcy proceedings described such an action as an "inappropriate way forward." Apple alleges that Kodak is violating patents it holds with respect to previewing images on an LCD screen. The judge encouraged both parties to continue negotiations over potential licensing fees. Kodak is looking to sell a number of its patents as part of its restructuring process.
