Apple Store App for iPhones Updated with EasyPay

Apple has updated the Apple Store application for the iPhone to version 2.0. The new software adds several significant features, including EasyPay, which allows customers to purchase accessories in Apple retail stores by scanning the barcode of the item and completing the purchase through the user's existing Apple account. It also adds Personal Pickup, which lets users purchase Apple computers, iPods, iPads, and other goods from their iPhone and then select to pick those items up at their local Apple retail store within one hour (if items are in stock). Last, the new Apple Store application makes it easier for customers to track the status of current and previous orders. These features are available only in the U.S., and require the iPhone 4 or 4S and iOS 4.2 and higher.
