Apple Admits to iOS 5 Battery Bugs, Promises Fix

Apple has confirmed to AllThingsD that there are indeed a few bugs in its iOS 5 system software that are causing iPhones to have battery life problems. "A small number of customers have reported lower than expected battery life on iOS 5 devices. We have found a few bugs that are affecting battery life and we will release a software update to address those in a few weeks," said Apple in a statement provided to AllThingsD. Apple was not specific about the nature of the bugs, nor exactly when the fix will be provided.
