Verizon Wireless has taken issue with one of Apple's lawsuits against Samsung, which seeks to prevent Samsung from importing select Android smartphones into the U.S. "The requested injunction of certain Samsung products will harm Verizon Wireless and U.S. consumers," said Verizon said in a court filing. "It also has the possibility of slowing the deployment of next-generation networks -- such as Verizon Wireless's -- contrary to the stated goals of the U.S. government." Verizon Wireless sells several of Samsung's Android devices, including the Droid Charge and Galaxy S Continuum. Apple and Samsung have a handful of lawsuits over smartphone patents in a growing number of countries around the world.
