Apple Issues Security Update for iOS

Apple today released an update to its iOS software for iPhones, iPads, and iPods that fixes a potentially serious security issue. In doing so, it also removes an easy way for users to "jailbreak" their Apple devices merely by visiting a special web page. While the issue made jail-breaking easy, it made it just as easy for those with malicious intent to create trick web pages that would install viruses or other bad software on iOS devices. The updated iOS - version 4.3.4 - is available now via iTunes.
