Apple sells iPhone 4Gsm unlocked

Apple is now selling the iPhone 4 GSM unlocked so you can use it with any GSM carrier and not have to be locked into contract. Does this mean that next will be a full functional cdma model sold to work with any cdma carrier?

nope afraid not,while it sounds cool.it will be talk and text for the gsm phones unless

A. apple has a bundle already for the carrier you are trying to use

B. you find a bundle generator that works with iphone 4 and 4.3.3 or greater and then know or learn how to inject that bundle into the phone.

nothing is ever easy..lol

and as far as cdma iphone being unlocked for use w/different carrier its a similar deal but more complicated im afraid and prolly wont ever be a unlocked ready to use with any carrier cdma iphone.

having said that,the iphone is rumored to soon be a world phone having gsm and cdma capabilities,which is conceivably possible that at least the commcenter wont be locked to a specific cdma carrier if the phone is purchased from a gsm carrier or is bought factory unlocked.which would make flashing i would think a much easier deal than we have now with viphone4. but all is speculation as of right now

but fyi apple has sold factory unlocked iphones since the begining way back in the 2g days. but it will be cool to see how the world phone will play out,wont be long for it.
