Hi - does anyone have a BIN file for a Sanyo Katana II on Sprint?
If the Katana II isn't dumped yet, I'm also looking for the Sanyo Pro 700's firmware/BIN file, also on Sprint.

Damn, no replies here. If only Sanyos weren't so unnecessarily hard to crack.

I have custom firmware and loader tool somewhere, I have no idea where its been so long ago, it is I am sure on an external storage I just dont have time to search for it, let me ask why you need it for such an old model?

It's a stupid reason...
I wan't to extract the default ringtones and other files out of the phone's firmware.

have you tried bitpim?

I don't have the data cable for the Katana II, but another Sanyo phone I have (pro 700), Bitpim does not recognize the phone. Looking at the log, both the usb com port and the modem port just time out a few times, and then it says "Failed to read filesystem". I know the original Katana is supported by bitpim officially, however.

Its been a long time since I have used BP but I remember you can choose one of the lg models to work with some of the sanyos, just cant remember which model

I tried it with both the serial COM port and the modem COM port it makes, both time out and don't respond to any AT commands. I tried every LG and Sanyo phone listed on the newest version of Bitpim, no dice.

Im sorry my friend I do not remember much about those old devices, you can always hire someone to make you a firm and loader, however it will not be worth it for only one or 2 devices.

No worries man. One of these days I'll just dump the flash chips myself, perhaps.
