While the fall smartphone season generally belongs to Samsung, Apple, and Google, OnePlus has been making plenty of noise the past two years. After moving to a six-month refresh cycle with the 3T (https://www.greenbot.com/article/3147042/android/oneplus-3t-review-one-of-the-best-android-phones-gets-a-little-better.html), the Oppo offshoot has steadily increased pressure on its heavyweight competitors with low-priced phones packed with specs that rival the premium Android flagships.
But this year, OnePlus might have a new trick up its sleeve. According to CNet (https://www.cnet.com/news/oneplus-6t-will-launch-in-october-with-t-mobile-as-us-partner/), when the OnePlus 6T launches later this fall it will have more than a refreshed design and specs. For the first time, it will also have U.S. carrier support. CNet reports that T-Mobile will be the exclusive U.S. carrier partner for the new handset with “a specific version of the OnePlus 6T optimized for T-Mobile’s network.”
