Hi, so I just found someone on craigslist to flash my phone to metro . he did it with success but he never ported my number to the new phone. after he gave it to me... he said he would help me later on and to call him the next day. but after he helped me he never got back to me so i went to metro myself and ported my number... but metro messed up my settings and i no longer have 3g.

Can someone help me get my 3g back? thanks

well its not something you can fix, he will have to fix it. By changing the MDN/MIN it does not automatically change the EVDO inside the phone. He would have to re-write that with CDMAWS. You can try to do a few battery pulls to see if you can get it if you got 1x right now.

I would get the guy to help me but hes very hard to get a hold of. after he was done helping me it was hard to get in contact with that person.

so writing it back on my phone is something i cant do by myself... im guessing?

not that you can do it yourself per se, but you need a program called CDMA workshop, which cost $100, there is a cracked version its 2.7 but i do not believe that it works on this phone. I have also never tried to edit the settings through EPST or anything like that. My best advice is to try to get ahold of the guy again so that he can do it for you. If you not fromiliar with it than you could potentitally damage/brick the phone. This is also why i advice against craigslist flashers, if you took it to the store to get it done, you'd prob have alot less trouble with finding the person.

Not all CL or want ad flashers are bad, I get 50% of mu business through CL and my local ads. I don't have a store and am a home based business and actually fix a few dealers screw up around this area.
You are right in a store/office setting it is easier to find the person, especially if you met the guy at McDonald's or Starbucks...

I recommend that you pester the guy to make it right, if he does it for a living his rep will be on the line.
