ok,please read this whole thing before continuing.
i have only used this on 2 devices successfully.(i just got it a day ago) there were alot of rumors that this was a fake... i am here to say it is not.
it worked on both devices i used it on flawlessly and quickly to.
this is a new jb tool and while cronic and the dev team have tested it for weeks,it does not come without sacrifice and a baseband upgrade for some.there are reported issues with gps.fixes will come later. and if you rely on carrier unlock it would be best to just wait until the 15th of feb. when 4.3 come out as 4.2.1 has very few benefits from 4.1
4.2.1 was a quick release and was more like just a trap to relock peeps that unlocked there devices at 4.1(that really ticks apple and at&t off)
but if you have the tethered jailbreak and have not been able to turn your device off without running redsnow again to get it to boot up, then this is for you.
the unlock for iphone 4 running 4.2.1 with 2.10 baseband or greater will be out quickly following apples release of 4.3 that they just announced will be out on the 14th of feb.
also there have been reports of greenpoison not working with custon sn0wbreeze or other custom firmwares. so if you can, restore with itunes to factory first,but beware iphone 4 users this will increase baseband beyond 2.10 and lock you back to at&t,so if thats you just hang tite and wait for another week or so for the musclenerd and the rest of the dev team to release the new unlock tool. prolly on the 15th or 16th.

Greenpoison RC5 4.2.1 Unthetered Jailbreak
Step 1: Download Greenpoison RC5
Step 2: Connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to your computer, run Greenpoison RC5 and click on “Jailbreak”
Step 3: Follow the instructions prompted to you by Greenpoison RC5 to enter DFU mode
Step 4: Greenpoison RC5 will now start Jailbreaking Unthetered your iPhone, iPad pr iPod Touch running iOS 4.2.1
Step 5 : Once Greenpoison RC5 finishes, your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch will reboot and you should see and icon named “Loader”
Step 6: Tap on Loader, install Cydia and you’re done!
You have successfully jailbroken unthetered your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch using Greenpoison RC5 for iOS 4.2.1
