I have a moto milestone under cellcom in israel that they told me they unlocked for other carriers. I'm having the voice quality issue that I've read about elsewhere. One solution given was to go into ##program and change one of the settings. My problem is that it asks me for spc code which cellcom claims they don't have and never even heard of

I found a caculator to figure it out using an esn? number but I only have an imei number. I've searched this forum and the web but have gotten nowhere. I know next to nothing about rooting flashing tethering etc. I don't even know what most of this stuff means.

I'm running 2.1 if that makes a difference.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated

you need the meid or the esn to calculate it (which I'd like a link to btw), and no the firmware isn't important. try converting the imei, tell me what it is and I'll convert for you :)

Here's where I took the calc from: [Only registered and activated users can see links]
I downloaded it and tried it. It takes the number that you put in and returns a 6 digit number, but I couldn't tell you if it actually works cuz I don't have an esn num to try with :-D

I'll get back to you about the imei

yeah u should, and btw that calc only works on metro phones they're the only CDMA company where the spc calculation has been mastered.
