it has the new os from bb. we hav'nt done one yet but i am seeing a few of them advertised that they are flashed to cricket,so i assume the sb's you been using will work.however that is a high dollar phone,its good yer lookin around before trying.let us know how it goes and if it is in fact the same. i answered you on the chatbox that is was the same because you posted 9630. i dont want to mislead you i am not sure about the 9670 style.

what version of bb desktop manager did you use to load the serivce books? 4.6 keeps crashing everytime I hook up a 9670 to it...

I used 5.0.1 with no issue for books, but to update the phone, you will need the latest version of DM.
