i was kinda thinkin this should be in the same thread as the rom. its the hard reset for ascend:

just to add on to leadnerds thread, following this procedure will do a factory data reset--


"menu" ----> settings ------> Privacy-------> Factory data Reset.
be careful this will erase all your data from your phone, including..

your google acct.
system and application data and settings

downloaded apps.

it will not erase--

system firmware

bundled aplications

sd card files,such as music and pics.

prl,sid/nid

I don't think 2.2 is coming out for Cricket phones until around the summer. At least that is the word I've been getting.

i read some technical bulletins that were mentioning a relese date of only feburary 2011, i read three of them,and none would get more spcecific than than that.
at least there is an update comming.hopefully next month.

No problems fixing a bootlooping Ascend that someone tried a flawed ROM on. Well once I figured out you had to press Vol Up + END + power instead of VOL UP + send + power.

Can I flash MetroPCS M860 with this firmware? This phone will be used at another non-USA network.
