Google has improved the reach of its Files Go app, a utility that's meant to help people manage the limited storage space of mobile devices. First, the app is now compatible with SD cards. Users can filter through and locate files stored on SD cards with a simple tap in the file finder. Second, Files Go now runs on tablets. The app functions the same way on Android slates as it does on Android smartphones, making it possible to share files from one device to the other simply and quickly. Third, and last, Files Go users can now customize which apps open specific files. A new "open with" flow gives people more control over the way files interact with other applications. Google believes these new features will improve the experience of managing device-side storage. Files Go is free to download from the Google Play Store.
