I am trying to edit the NV of a VN250, I am using 1.1 Lab, with the DLL registered and the Generic Component 4_0_9_0 installed by running the .msi file Everytime I try to edit the phone, it gives me the Unable to Load [Utilcom] error. I think that may be because I don't have the Generic Component 4_0_9_0 in the same folder as the VN250 DLL. Does anyone know where does the .msi installer put this file?

I also thought it could be the version of LGNPST, so I installed 1.2 on a clean machine, but after installing all drivers, etc. it wouldn't recognize any phone which is connected to the computer, although Device Manager has installed the phone correctly.

I would appreciate any help to get this phone working on one or both of these LGNPST versions.

use the vx9200 dll to edit the settings just did one and hour ago and it worked. as long as you have the vn250 dll and the generic component you will be fine

Do you know where the Generic Component 4_0_9_0 gets installed on the computer, so that I can copy it to the VN250 Model folder? If you have just the DLL, not the installer I would appreciate it if you upload it here.

The generic component needs to be installed in the models folder in lgnpst.

Here is the VN250 dll (to use with lgnpst rename it to LGNPST_VN250.dll)

Here is the matching Generic, Ver_4_0_9_0.dll

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Go to the folder which contains LGNPST, go to the 'model' folder, if there isn't one create it. Within 'model' create a folder 'VN250'. Put both of the preceding files in this 'VN250' folder. Right click on the LGNPST_VN250.dll (you should have renamed it to this) and select register this component. If an error comes up such as 'The specified module could not be found' download a program called Emsa Dll Register Tool ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). Once you have this program installed select the VN250.dll and then click 'Register ActiveX'. This should create the files 'setting.xml' and 'VN250_CmdInfo.xml' within that VN250 folder you created.

You should now be able to find the vn250 as a 'select .dll' choice in LGNPST.
