sorry i see you moved the thread. there are many people who say they have the palm pre on metro with web but not one has the settings. im thinking that these people are making this up. if anyone has any insight to this it would be very helpful. im going on over a week on this phone. some say to use tinyproxy some say use apn and others say its a db3 file. does anyone know the real answer?

The real answer is yes, it can be fully flashed to Metro and just like cricket there is a custom ROM for sale that will enable all to work.
As for flashing it your self, I would recommend patience and alot of research. Posting the same or similar thing repeatedly on forums won't help any. It just clutters up the forums and could result in a ban. That is why your other 3 posts on the subject were removed.

Ok sorry Whitey10tc my mind was so boggled yesterday when i was posting on different sites. What does this rom do that my rom cant do? Also do you know where i can get the right rom? im not a noob to flashing. ive already bypassed activation and changed the prl. Im trying to figure out how to get the internet working. Do i need this rom just to get the internet going?

Well if I was on Metro I would start by asking some Metro users that reported having the device fully functional. There's a few here and alot on hofo.
As for needing the ROM, it's the easiest way to do it. I believe beezlewaxin is the chef of it. But even with the ROM the phone still needs to flashed correctly for it work.
