I just recently bought the Huawei and when I otasp it I got prl 42600 in the Kansas City area. I really didn't care much for this phone due to the fact I was comming from a flashed evo, so I went back to the evo. My only issue is, I can't otasp the evo for some reason even though EVERYTHING works on it, but I would love to get this prl for my evo. Does anyone have this prl or any ideas on how I can get my evo to otasp?

Thanks

just read the .prl and save it to your desktop then plug the evo and write that file you saved back to it using cdma workshop or similar

I am not sure how to do that with the Huawei. I have been trying to figure out how to get it off of that phone for a while now. Still not sure how to get that done. I am no stranger to flashing, but trying to get this prl is driving me nuts

Ok, tried that and it worked, but for some reason it made my screen have a dark shadow. It was somewhat blury I guess you could say. I was hoping that would fix my otasp issue as well but it didn't. Not sure what else to do.

I will give that one a shot, although, I think I have tried that. I have a feeling it is a setting somewhere in my epst that is off. I need to find someone with an evo that can *228 in the kc area that will do a comparison of thier epst with mine to find out just what is wrong.

*EDIT* Just tried 1039 and I still get the "We are sorry. We are unable to program your phone" error message when I try to *228 for some reason. It has to be some setting somewhere.

It's the account/phone. If you were on say the 55 or 45 all in one you would ota fine. My account is the same way.

What do you mean? Do you mean that it is a setting on the phone? I am on the droid plan and listed as the M6000. The only thing I can figure is that it has to be some setting on my phone or something on Cricket's end.

I think I need to find someone that will compare their epst settings to know if it is on my phone or something else

If you're using a Droid, the 4xxxx.prl will be a bad idea. It's an all-digital phone, not a tri-band phone.

The 4xxxx PRL tries to use Analog signal as well as 1x and 3g evdo signals.

You need a 3xxxx PRL which is digital only, and has 3g.

If you use a modern PRL, you DON'T NEED to *228. Ever. This one is the most recent that I've found.
