Samsung just announced the world’s first FreeSync 2-enabled PC monitors, the 27- and 32-inch CHG70 and the utterly massive 49-inch CHG90 ultrawide display—which is essentially a multi-monitor setup without multiple monitors.
Samsung’s displays extend the battle between AMD’s FreeSync and Nvidia’s G-Sync (http://www.pcworld.com/article/2974781/displays/g-sync-vs-freesync-faq-how-variable-refresh-rate-displays-make-pc-games-super-smooth.html) technologies to the budding field of high-dynamic range (http://www.techhive.com/article/3022434/smart-tv/curious-about-hdr-heres-everything-you-need-to-know-if-you-plan-to-buy-a-tv-in-2016.html)-monitors. Nvidia’s already teased several G-Sync HDR gaming monitors (http://www.pcworld.com/article/3154782/displays/nvidias-first-hdr-g-sync-monitors-are-basically-the-holy-grail-of-pc-displays.html) from Asus and Acer, though none are actually available to purchase just yet.
