Palm Pre Esn stored on the motherboard or com board?

Hey guys I am selling some palm pre and pre plus motherboards on ebay (got a bunch with junk digitizers) and I advertised as being able to fix your esn number with it. Where is the esn stored? Is it in the com board or mobo?

I could have sworn it was on the motherboard but some guy told me through ebay that it was on the com board
