Moment SMS Issue

Has anyone had an issue of garbled text and/or not receiving texts at all? The phone sends without issues but receives as described. Seems to happen always on 2.1 and never on 1.5 for our carrier. The same has no issues on Page Plus. Anyone have an idea? I'm out of ideas.

Did you ever get your issue resolved? I have the same issue right now. I have looked everywhere for answers but it has now been three weeks and I still have not resolved the issue. I am thinking it might be a PRL issue? Just a guess though.

I've seen a variation of the issue... Essentially, the phone only sends the first letter of the text. In other words, you can write up a novel and the only thing the other person receives is the first letter of the text. I know it's not the same issue as described but I think it could be related. I'm thinking it's an issue with the carrier (Cricket) and not the phone.

This started christmas eve and I have only seen this SMS issue with the moto q and the moment, I have corrected 2 devices by using the radioactive froyo rom v1.8.3

Yea, same problem, seen many customers past few weeks coming in with moments where receiving text messages just stopped. They can send all day long but never receive. I have changed prls, roms, reflashed, refreshed, everything nothing helps or fixes it.

I tried Radioactive 1.8.6 and it fixed the SMS but it jacks up the MMS lol i think its cause its a sprint based rom

We'll I found a fix for this but it sucks, put them on the $55 plan with the prl from the zio, this fixed all the ones I was having problems with but sucked having to do the upgrades.
