Having a hard time trying to flash sprint BB 8530 into metro

Hey guys.. first let me say great community you guys have here!!! Let me start by saying I'm as green as I could possibly be at this. My problem is the following I bought a BB 8530 (sprint) to flash it to Metro PCS, I have added the ESN into metro's network already now all I have to do is flash... It seems pretty simple Im able to load PRL files. but im not successful dialing 611 and getting metro I get some lady telling me that cannot locate my service provider... (if i load the sprint PRL and change SID it goes back to sprint) so its loading the prl. now im in the NEW YORK. I wonder if that has anything to do with it... but im not able to get anything nor talk nor text out of this phone.. can some one help me or point me to the right direction. I have reed a lot of post here I apologize if the post is out in the forum.

Love2sin, thanks for that fast response. I appreciate that. unfortunately did not work. changed BB reg id to 2004 reloaded latest prl 3011... now the wird thing dialed *228 and verizon programin pops up..

SID = 6503
PRL = 2004

Uncheck NAM Lock

Home Only
CDMA Only

Make sure Reg id is saved to 2004 or handset will automatically revert back to Sprint

once you change reg ID, to save click blackberry menu button and choose save in menu options. phone will reset. Also be sure that you wrote PRL in both NAM 1 and NAM 2. You might also want to check to see if your device has an IT Policy on it.

Thanks for the advise Pac3comm1 did change the reg ID and saved it..
dont see options to load a second NAM PRL. also chacked my BB OPTIONS/STATUS/(IMPUT BUYR) and IT policy are removed should I put it back??

now im using QPST to do this as fallows
under "setting tab"

When I do the above settings phone hangs and does not connect to network and dont get anything at all...

You actually have to change the Reg ID twice ..once you changed the first time (I am in Atlanta ..so we use 4273) then save .. Save also from nam programming .. Let it reboot.. Then goto programming again(##(spc code) send .. Put mdn ,min and goto reg Id again then save .. It should not revert back to sprint now. Hope this works out for you
