Hello,
WARNING: THIS WILL NOT CONNECT YOU TO THE INTERNET!
it's just all the information on tethering I've been able to gather so far.
Assumptions made by this guide:
1. You have an LG VM510.
2. You have unlocked it according to Crogan's guide.
3. You are using windows. (currently only windows 7)
4. You are connected to the internet on your pc already.
step 1: (hopefully you kept LG Download 1.60)
Turn on your phone and put it into DM mode.
(Dial ##7678# and enter your SPC code)
step 2:
Launch LG Download 1.60.
Go to "NV Edit"
Click on "Data" tab.
Take note of the AN NAI(A12) number.
Step 3:
Go to control panel.
Go to internet settings (network and sharing center).
Click on set up a new connection.
Click ON Connect to the internet.
Click on "Set up a network anyway"
If given an option select No.
Dial Up.
Enter the following information:
Dial up phone number: #777
Username: (This is what you wrote down earlier)
Password: Leave this blank.
Alright, Connect!
With all likelihood you will receive error 633 - incorrect network setup. (or 777 if your phone has lost connection).
