I’m not gonna lie, I like big phones. Before I became a full-time Android phone reviewer, I divided my time equally between the Nexus 6P (http://www.greenbot.com/article/2995922/smartphones/nexus-6p-review-this-is-the-way-android-phones-should-be.html) and the iPhone 7 Plus (http://www.macworld.com/article/3126301/iphone-ipad/iphone-7-plus-review-the-dual-lens-camera-makes-it-a-winner.html), and I was more than a little bummed that I never got a chance to try out the Galaxy Note7 (http://www.greenbot.com/article/3107986/android/samsung-galaxy-note-7-review-a-pricey-phablet-made-for-power-users.html).
But the HTC U Ultra is just too big. It’s bigger than the Note7 and the Nexus 6P, both of which also have 5.7-inch screens. It’s bigger than the 5.9-inch Huawei Mate 9 (http://www.greenbot.com/article/3163007/android/huawei-mate-9-review-a-giant-phone-with-a-small-frame-and-big-ambitions.html). It’s even bigger than the rumored dimensions of the Galaxy S8+ (http://www.greenbot.com/article/3175661/android/everything-we-think-we-know-about-the-galaxy-s8.html), which will reportedly sport a 6.2-inch display. And it absolutely dwarfs the LG G6 (http://www.greenbot.com/article/3174266/android/hands-on-with-the-lg-g6-a-nice-phone-but-not-especially-innovative.html).
