There have Only been a few claims to doing this.As Of this writing,I am the FIRST to Root The I1.I Have A Screenshot Posted underneath.

Setup:
(I ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING THAT GOES SOUR.IF YOU KNOW ROOT,YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR GETTING INTO)
--->Install ADB (HERE) and Motorola Drivers(32 Bit OR 64 Bit)
--->Download Skrilax_CZ's Files (SEE ATTACHED)
---->LETS DO This.=).
Process:
- Open command prompt
- cd c:wherever-your-sdk-tools-folder-is
- adb devices (to verify the connection)
- adb push c:\Moto_MSM_Root\Superuser.apk /sdcard/Superuser.apk
- adb push c:\Moto_MSM_Root\su /sdcard/su
- adb push c:\Moto_MSM_Root\rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin /data/local/tmp/rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin
- adb push c:\Moto_MSM_Root\install-root.sh /data/local/tmp/install-root.sh
- adb shell
- cd /data/local/tmp
- chmod 0755 rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin
- chmod 0755 install-root.sh
-> keep your phone connected to PC

I used ConnectBot Terminal,From The App Market. To Open A Shell there, just pick in the combobox "local", type any name into the editbox, and press enter.
open the terminal emulator on the phone and type:
- cd /data/local/tmp
- ./rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin
DONT PRESS ANYTHING-WAIT,Until you see This message
[+]Forked XXXX Childs
press enter and type "exit" to close the terminal (or close it via the menu)
-> open the Terminal Emulator or ConnectBot on the phone (if you get the message that terminal died, dismiss it and run it again)
--> /data/local/tmp/install-root.sh
- exit
- exit
--->If You Get Nothing,The Script Was Successful.
Your MOTOROLA I1 is Rooted.=)
