Later today, Google will take the wraps off its 2016 Android phones which will be the company’s first non-Nexus handsets. The Pixel and Pixel XL starred in a variety of leaks, and we think we already know everything there is to know about them , at least when it comes to design and specs. The phones will likely start selling as soon as Google’s event is done, and thanks to Verizon we have a good-idea of what prices to expect. Before you even have to ask, no, Google will not stick to its Nexus pricing scheme — the Pixels will cost you about as much as an iPhone 7 . DON’T MISS: Another iPhone bursts into flames, sending the owner to the ER Reddit user abattleofone spotted the Pixel and Pixel XL on Verizon a few hours ago. The 32GB Pixel was listed at $199 in his cart, which likely "means it is $650” off contract. He then found the 128GB version of the Pixel to be priced at $100 extra. Finally, the 128GB Pixel XL was priced at $419.99. That means the off-contract price of the Pixel XL could very well be around the $800 mark. In addition to pricing details, Verizon also listed Pixel and Pixel XL features on its website long before it should have. “Google Magic” is something we haven’t seen before and we have no idea what it is. It probably a new software feature, but one that’s so significant that it needs to be listed above-“productivity,” “performance built for business,” and "strengthened security.” Finally, Verizon also confirmed the phones will arrive in three color options, including blue (Really Blue), silver (Very Silver) and black. Hopefully, the black option will have a similarly cool color name as well. In just a few hours Google will tell us all about its Magic, and it will confirm the pricing structure for its Pixel phones.
