It’s quite embarrassing that Samsung in 2016 still feels the need to blatantly copy as much as it can from Apple. And while it’s one thing for Samsung to look towards the iPhone for inspiration — because let’s be honest, Apple isn’t shy about siphoning off features from Android either — it’s an entirely different matter to see Samsung going so far as to copy Apple’s advertising campaigns. DON'T MISS:- Leaked iPhone 7 photo shows a major change we never saw coming Now truth be told, I’ve generally been a fan of Samsung’s anti-Apple ads. All of those ads categorizing Apple fans as clueless hipsters blindly waiting in line for new iPhones? Brilliant stuff. But on the other side of the coin, Samsung ads can also be exceedingly lazy at times. The most recent offender is a new advert titled “Captured on Galaxy S7.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVx6ZlksMJw&feature=youtu.be The aim of the commercial is to show consumers the quality of 4K video recording on both the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge. Fair enough, but the ad’s slogan seems awfully similar to Apple’s longstanding and ongoing “Shot on iPhone” campaign which aims to show consumers the power of the iPhone’s camera. Now if this was any other company, maybe they’d get a pass, but let’s be honest: Samsung has a long and storied history of ripping off al things Apple, rather unapologetically at that. Remember when Apple introduced the Rose Gold iPhone 6s? Shortly thereafter Samsung, lo and behold!, introduced a Rose Gold version of the Galaxy Note 5. I suppose it’s just business as usual in the tech world.
