HTC Hero missing super user permission app

This is the second problem I have encountered with the Hero. lol

There is no super user permission app on here to be able to root it using unrevoked. I am running the 2.1 update1 and have the software version that ends in ".5" installed. Yet, I can't seem to get the super user permission app to come up in the app tray.

I have reflashed the rom three times.

Any suggestions?

If that don't work load the damagecontrol rom to it.

on the hero, after you root it, you have to load a custom rom on it for the app the show. i've had this problem before also.

Load DC v1.1. and your troubles will go away.

I have done a few of the Heros and what I am seeing is that I've always had the super user app on there before. Now on this one it is not and I am not even able to root it. Hmmm

Okay, I am a dummy. I thought I knew what I was doing. You have to load the unrevoked.apk and that will give you the super user app to root the Hero and then you can get on with your life. lol
