Lenovo-owned Motorola announced a pair-of affordable new- Android handsets on Tuesday morning. Motorola’s famous Moto G line is getting two new members this year, including the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. The phones are virtually identical, but the Plus version does sport a better camera, a fingerprint sensor, more RAM and more storage. DON’T MISS: Apple ruined the dream of having Google take over my iPhone According to Engadget , Motorola unveiled the devices at a press event in India on Tuesday. The Moto G4 handsets have 5.5-inch Full HD displays, Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processors, 5-megapixel front-facing cameras and 3,000 mAh batteries. The Moto G4 has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 13-megapixel camera, likely similar to the one on the current Moto G model. Motorola's more capable-Moto G4 Plus packs 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a fingerprint sensor and a 16-megapixel rear camera. In addition to more megapixels, the camera has other improvements over the one found on the regular Moto G model, such as a f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and “big pixels.” Apparently, the Moto G4 Plus’s camera is a big deal for Motorola, with the company spending considerable time during the event talking about it. DxOMark has already rated the Moto G Plus’s photo quality ahead of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Of note, this is just the photo quality score, not the overall camera score for the upcoming Motorola-phablet. The smartphones will cost £169 and £199 in the UK, Engadget says, but US pricing details have not yet been announced.
