Marvel's latest superhero adventure is on pace to be one of the studio's biggest to date, having now racked up more than $940 million globally at the box office. Captain America: Civil War -pulled in $72.6 million in the United States alone this past weekend, its second weekend in theaters. Globally, the film took in more than-$156 million total this past weekend. Civil War is currently on pace to see its box office total top $1 billion this week, which will be yet another impressive milestone for the film. Perhaps even more impressive, however, is the milestone Marvel has already achieved: As of this past Sunday, Marvel's 13 movies have now combined to pull in more than $10 billion. The film's box office gross topped $1.4 billion and fans seemed to enjoy the movie for the most part, but it has a critic rating of just 75% on Rotten Tomatoes. Civil War , on the other hand, has been praised by critics and fans alike. The movie has a critic score of 90% and a fan rating of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes . While ratings aren't always an indication of how a movie will perform at the box office , everything seems to be in sync-in this case — Civil War is on pace to handily top Ultron . To put the Captain's latest in perspective, the first Captain America movie took in-$177 million at the box office in 2011, and 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier totaled-$260 million at the box office. As Variety noted , Civil War will become the seventh superhero flick to top $1 billion at the box office, following- The Avengers ($1.52 billion), Avengers: Age of Ultron ($1.41 billion), Iron Man 3 ($1.22 billion), The Dark Knight Rises ($1.09 billion) and The Dark Knight ($1.04 billion). Here are domestic and international box office totals this past weekend: 1. Captain America: Civil War, $72.6 million ($84.2 million international). 2. The Jungle Book, $17.8 million ($15.2 million international). 3. Money Monster, $15 million ($4.7 million international). 4. The Darkness, $5.2 million. 5. Mother's Day, $3.3 million ($1.1 million international). 6. Zootopia," $2.8 million ($4.7 million international). 7. The Huntsman: Winter's War, $2.6 million ($2 million international). 8. Keanu, $1.9 million. 9. Barbershop: The Next Cut, $1.7 million. 10 The Boss, $1.2 million.
