The latest version of the app adds commenting and smart suggestions to shared albums. People who join shared albums can comment on the photos therein, as well as comment the larger album as a whole. Comment threads can be created directly from the mobile app. Moreover, Photos now suggests which photos in users' libraries will fit with the images inside shared albums. Users will still have full control over what images are actually shared with others, but Photos will make selecting the right photos easier. These new features are rolling out now to Android, iOS, and the web. Google Photos is free to download from the Google Play Store and iTunes App Store.
