If your phone is running slower than normal, an application is not performing properly, or your phone becomes unresponsive, try restarting your phone and see if that helps solve the problem.

Factory reset is not a step to be taken lightly. It will permanently delete all your data and customized settings. Be sure to back up any data (contacts and files) that you want to keep before you do a factory reset.

How bout the Samsung / Galaxy S / Vibrant SGH-T959?

That one is hold BOTH volume up and down at the same time + power until the phone resets and Vibrant screen flashes...it will go into recovery. Problem is, delete user data and user cache does not clear up some issues. To do that you must reload firmware with ODIN. LINK can be found here: [Only registered and activated users can see links]

Just an addition to this post,
You can hard-reset ANY android device by putting it in fastboot mode, then open up a command prompt, navigate to your android-sdk folder and type:

fastboot -w
