CEO John Chen seems to have finally kicked BlackBerry OS to the curb, and it looks like Android phones may be BlackBerry’s future. So what will these two new smartphones look like? Here’s everything we know about BlackBerry’s next Android phones. Right now, we only have one rumor from a relatively unknown source called BerryLink to go by, so take these rumors with a grain of salt. Related:- BlackBerry CEO addresses story that Canadian police have its global encryption key Hamburg The first device is reportedly codenamed Hamburg, in keeping with BlackBerry’s long-standing tradition of code-naming devices after cities. Hamburg may deviate a little from BlackBerry’s most iconic tradition — the QWERTY keyboard. According to a leaked picture from BerryLink, there’s no physical keyboard on this device, but rather a full-size touchscreen. Of course, it’s also quite possible that there’s a physical keyboard hidden under the screen, as is the case with the BlackBerry Priv. BerryLink The photo hints that the device measures 146mm x 78mm,-making it a fairly large device. It seems like the Hamburg could have a metal body and a speaker grill under the screen. We can also see the power button on the left, as well as volume buttons and another extra button on the right. It is rumored that the Hamburg will be priced at less than $400, making it quite a bit cheaper than the BlackBerry Priv, which runs for $650. If-that’s true, the specs of the device may be more mid-range than flagship-quality. Rome BerryLink The second rumored device is codenamed Rome, and unlike its sibling, it does in fact appear to offer a physical keyboard. Its design is very similar to the BlackBerry Passport, except that it’s rectangular instead of square. The Rome looks very similar to previous leaks for a device codenamed Vienna-— in fact they look so similar that it’s entirely possible they’re the same device. Still, some of the colors are a little different, and the keyboard on Rome looks slightly sleeker. Perhaps BlackBerry ditched Vienna in favor of Rome. There’s no word on what’s under the hood for this device, but stay tuned! We’ll update this story with more news as we hear of it.
