Last time Amazon tried to build something revolutionary instead of evolutionary, the device failed spectacularly.-Of course, we all had a sneaking suspicion the company's Fire phone would flop long before it was ever released thanks to BGR's exclusive reporting on the device ahead of announcement. This time around, Amazon-will apparently try to inject some innovation into its Kindle line of eReaders, and a huge leak may have just given us our first look at the new Kindle's radical redesign. DON'T MISS:- 5 best things about the new HTC 10 A recent report suggested that Amazon's upcoming new Kindle eBook reader would feature a novel new design that included a removable battery case. Now, it appears as though the Kindle Oasis will indeed fit the bill, and a series of leaked images -may have just revealed the new device. The images were published by Amazon in China before promptly being taken offline, which obviously suggests that the company's Eastern arm jumped the gun and ran them early. Of course, it also suggests that the images are the genuine article and this is indeed our first look at Amazon's next Kindle. As we can see in the leaks, the new Kindle Oasis appears to have an asymmetrical design that features one thicker side that tapers to an edge that is 20% thinner than the current Kindle eBook reader. It also features an off-center display with 300dpi resolution, and can be held with the thick side on the right or the left depending on the user's preference. The leaked images show a removable cover that includes a battery pack, as was noted in an earlier report. According to a translation on Reddit of the text accompanying the images, the battery pack should extend the Kindle Oasis' battery life by several days of reading or by several months in standby mode. Amazon is expected to unveil the Kindle Oasis in the coming days. In the meantime, all of the leaked images follow below.
