Titanfall 2 ‘s worldwide reveal-is scheduled for June 12, and further details will be announced at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo. A Titan approaches the Drop Pod with the intent of engaging whatever emerges in combat, and EA’s teaser ends as the Titan reveals its new bladed weaponry. The original Titanfall , released for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows PCs in 2014, offered a futuristic take on the first-person shooting genre. Players control armed combatants who boast enhanced traversal abilities, allowing them to walk along walls, double-jump, and slide along ziplines throughout each included map. After fulfilling specific conditions in battle, players can summon gigantic Titan exoskeletons in order to turn the tide against the opposition. While piloting a Titan, players move faster, can take more damage, and possess a wider array of weaponry. 2014’s Titanfall focused exclusively on multiplayer combat, limiting its single-player content to a series of training modules. Responding to criticism in the wake of the game’s multiplayer-only debut, developer Respawn Entertainment committed to delivering a full single-player campaign in Titanfall 2 . Titanfall is also due to make its mobile debut later this year with multiple spinoff apps for iOS and Android devices. Creator Respawn Entertainment has tapped mobile developer Particle City to deliver “several new and original smartphone and tablet games based on the expansive sci-fi universe of Titanfall” over the course of a “multi-game, multi-year partnership.” Titanfall 2 is currently in development for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms. A release date is not yet known.
