Every week we go through the various app stores to find you new and fun apps to download. Check out this week’s top five, ranging from an app that helps you send secure emails, to one that aims to aid your personal development. ProtonMail Julian Chokkattu/Digital Trends After two years in closed beta, ProtonMail finally opened its secure email service to public registration, and it launched an iOS and Android app at the same time. If you’re worried about someone snooping on your data, or just want to send emails securely, ProtonMail is one of the easiest ways to do it. You can create an account for free, and your emails will automatically be encrypted if you send them to other ProtonMail users. If not, you can manually encrypt them. There are paid accounts you can purchase for more features. Available on:- iTunes Google Play Podpolly Podpolly is a community-based podcasting app that lets you upload your own podcasts, however long you want, to communities within the app or to your followers. You can edit your podcasts and add sound effects, and add a picture to represent it. You can also comment on and “like” podcasts others have shared. It looks and feels similar to Instagram, except replace photographs-with audio recordings. Available on:- iTunes Remente Remente is a personal development app with a team of-psychologists, mental trainers, and entrepreneurs behind it. After downloading the app, you-will be asked-to rate how happy you are in a number of specific categories, ranging from relationships to your career. You can then set goals to try and advance each category, and you can also track your mood by checking in every now and then. Available on:- iTunes Android Nomwell If you find yourself adding names of restaurants to visit to a list, you should probably download Nomwell. Better yet, import that list to Nomwell, then you won’t have to re-type anything and you’ll have an easier time finding their precise locations. Nomwell makes it easy to keep track of your favorite restaurants and places that have been recommended to you, and you can also organize them into your own lists. If you have friends on the app, you can also see the places they recommend. Available on:- iTunes Google Play TaskRabbit If you haven’t heard of TaskRabbit — it essentially lets you ask people to complete tasks for you, with payment of course. The company just updated their iOS and Android app, so now you can expect to be paired with a “tasker” within five minutes after you have made your request. Your task will also be completed within 90 minutes, as opposed to a few days previously — that’s a big difference. Don’t worry, you can still schedule tasks if that’s your preference.
