Hello all. I am here in order to learn how to flash a Lg VX8500 that is currently on prepaid. i need to flash it to the V07 firmware but iI keep getting an invalid .bin file error. Anyone got any advice?

If you are flashing it to postpaid firmware you will probably need to flash it in emergency mode. If you flash in emergency mode you will probably have to re-write the MEID in the phone. Have CDMA workshop handy for the MEID re-write. Flashing in e-mode is risky so proceed with caution. Turn off the phone, hold 5 and then hit power while still holding 5, this should put it in emergency mode(you can let go of 5 after it says emergency mode)

You may possibly have a bad bin file also.

Just so you know, to re write your meid, you will need the full version of CDMA WS. Not the 2.7 cracked version.

llbg2 you can try to flash that phone with lgdownloader 1.3.6.3 the one i posted in this forum,but you need to edit cfg file.
It will let you flash your phone without loosing your meid or esn.
