The phone has a dedicated DAB+ chipset and special application meant for digital radio broadcasts. DAB+, which is expected to replace traditional FM radio, doesn't consume mobile data and is free to use. Further, LG is providing broadcasters with the technical interface so they may create their own DAB+ apps. The Stylus 2 with DAB+ will first be made available to consumers in Australia, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, and the United Kingdom. LG says DAB+ is already broadcast in 40 countries covering some 500 million people. LG hasn't said if or when the LG Stylus 2 will be sold in the U.S., nor if the U.S. variant will support DAB+. The phone has a 5.7-inch screen, 3,000mAh battery, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, and 13-megapixel camera. It includes a stylus and dedicated software for accessing popup menus, calligraphy, and more.
