It’s also not the most exciting design we’ve ever seen, and the textured back cover could prove to be an acquired taste, so you might want to add a touch of style. That said, these are the best OnePlus 2 cases and covers currently available. Updated on 1-25-2016 by Simon Hill : Added cases by Rhino Shield, Noreve, Spigen, Seidio, and Nillkin. Related : OnePlus 2 review Rhino Shield Crash Guard Bumper ($25) Excellent drop protection is the name of the game for Rhino Shield, and the Crash Guard bumper can handle falls from at least 11.5 feet. This is the ideal solution if you’re always dropping your phone, but you’d prefer not to buy a bulky case that covers the OnePlus 2 up. The button covers are good and there are cut-outs for the ports, though you might find the headphone one a little narrow for some jacks. This bumper comes in white, red, or black, and offers a good protective alternative to a traditional case. Available at: Amazon Noreve Tradition B Case ($55) You’ll find a range of different styles in Noreve’s handcrafted leather case line-up. We’ve picked the wallet replacement, Tradition B, which features a magnetic closure and opens to reveal two card slots and a money pocket in the cover. Your OnePlus 2 nestles safe and sound in a thin shell, and the padded leather offers all-around protection. There’s a handy fold-out kickstand on the back, and openings allow you to access the ports and use the camera with the case on. You have the option of customizing this case with a wide range of textured finishes and colors. Available at: Noreve Spigen Rugged Armor Case ($13) Molded from a single piece of TPU, this angular, flexible case from Spigen features carbon fiber highlights on the back. There’s a slight lip to safeguard the screen and extra protection at the corners where you need it most to combat drop damage. The cut-outs are accurate, and the button covers are easy to find and press without looking. This case does also add a bit of grip, making your OnePlus 2 less likely to slip from your hand. Available at: Amazon Seidio Dilex Pro Case ($15) The solid metal kickstand is the big draw for this rugged case. It pops easily out of the back and props your OnePlus 2 up in landscape view. Dual-layer protection ensures that your phone will survive a drop or two. There’s also a shock absorbent inner layer of TPU with a protective hexagonal pattern and an overcoat of rigid polycarbonate. The openings are in the right places and the button covers work well, but this is quite a chunky case. The inner TPU is black, but you can get the outer shell in black, blue, or red. Available at: Amazon Nillkin Qin Wallet Case ($15) If you like the idea of a wallet case, but you don’t want to spend too much, then this could be the one for you. Your OnePlus 2 slots neatly into a slim polycarbonate shell and it’s wrapped in fake leather. There’s a soft lining inside and a single handy card slot in the cover. Accurate cut-outs ensure that you have full access to the ports, buttons, and the camera. It’s pretty slim and provides all-around coverage, but we wouldn’t rely on it for drop protection. Available at: Amazon Next page: 5 more OnePlus 2 cases Otterbox Case ($25) There was a definite lack of big name case manufacturers producing wares for the OnePlus One, so it’s nice to see a case from Otterbox for the OnePlus 2. This is a classic Otterbox design that combines a flexible, shock absorbent inner layer, with a tough outer shell. The button covers are easy to find without looking, the cut-outs are precise, and it offers solid drop protection. The five diagonal vents provide an aesthetic flourish, and the inner layer color shines through. You can get this in four different color combinations. Available at: OnePlus Cruzerlite Bugdroid Case ($10) At just under $10, it’s hard to argue with the value of Cruzerlite’s wares. These are simple, TPU cases, which are malleable and fairly durable. They keep the OnePlus 2 wrapped, with openings for the ports, controls, and camera. There’s also a protective lip around the front to help safeguard the screen. These flexible, light weight cases come in a wide variety of colors, each featuring a circuitry design and the Android mascot in the middle. If you want something straightforward for basic protection, these cases fit the bill. Available at: Cruzerlite Orzly Wallet Case ($10) This case is designed to be a wallet replacement. Open up the plastic, leather effect covering and you’ll find a hard plastic shell for your OnePlus 2 on one side and two card slots, with a large money pocket behind, on the other. You can fold the cover back to act as a landscape stand and the closure tucks out of the way. You’ll find a full range of cut-outs for the buttons, ports, and camera. It’s not the greatest quality, but that’s reflected in the price. You can get it in black, blue, red, or grey. Available at: Amazon Slimline Rosewood Case ($31) It only offers very basic protection, but this slim case does bring a touch of style to your OnePlus 2. There are openings for the ports, buttons, and the camera on the back. The case is a very slim, snap-on design, and it should help keep your phone scratch-free, though we wouldn’t rely on it for drop protection. It’s actually 3D-printed, soft-touch plastic, but it does look like wood from a distance. You can also get this case in bamboo, onyx, and sandstone finishes. Available at: Mobile Fun Olixar Flexishield Case ($10) Some people prefer simple cases that don’t add bulk, and the Flexishield certainly fits that description. It’s a cheap, flexible, gel case that has a protective lip on the front. There are cut-outs for the camera and ports, and button covers that are easy to press. You can get in four different colors and each one is slightly glossy and translucent with no distracting details at all. Available at: Mobile Fun Next page: 5 more OnePlus 2 cases Tudia Merge Case ($17) You can expect reasonable drop protection from this two-layer case. It combines a flexible, black TPU interior skin that’s reinforced from top and bottom, with a hard polycarbonate outer shell in black, red, mint, or metallic slate. The TPU absorbs shock, and there’s a raised lip on the front to protect the screen should your OnePlus 2 land face down. The button covers are also easy to find and press, and the openings for the ports, switch, and camera are accurate. It does add a bit of bulk, but that’s often the price of drop protection. Available at: Amazon Rearth Ringke Fusion Case ($11) If you do love the look of your OnePlus 2, and you’re not keen on covering it up, then a transparent case could be just the ticket. This one is comprised of a hard, polycarbonate back panel, with a flexible TPU bumper that encompasses button covers and port plugs. There’s also a bezel around the camera opening to protect the lens. You get a screen protector in the box and there’s even a protective lip on the front. The bumper comes in-either a-clear or smoky black option. Available at: Amazon Diztronic TPU Case ($7.40) Cases really don’t get much cheaper than this. It’s a really basic, thin, TPU case that’s flexible for an easy fit. You’ll find a soft-touch, matte finish that provides some extra grip and won’t pick up fingerprints. The volume and power buttons have-covers, and there’s a gloss Diztronic logo further down on that spine. The switch has a cut-out, and there are openings for the camera and ports, too. There is also a small, protective bezel on the front to prevent the screen from touching surfaces if it lands face down, but you shouldn’t expect rugged drop protection from this case. Available at: Amazon OnePlus 2 Flip Cover ($20) This official OnePlus offering is a classic, flip open, folio-style case. The hard polycarbonate back replaces your back cover for a slim fit, and there’s a fake leather or polyurethane, covering around it. The OnePlus 2 automatically wakes when you open the cover and sleeps when you close it. There’s also a handy slot on the inside for housing a single credit card or ID. You’ll also find a cut-out on the back for the camera, one on the front for the speaker, and unfettered access to buttons. It’s textured for a bit of added grip, but we wouldn’t count on it for drop protection. It comes in a choice of five different colors. Available at: OnePlus Olixar ArmourDillo Case ($17) It would be impossible to describe this case as pretty, but it is practical. There’s an inner TPU case with button covers and openings for the ports and camera that comes in blue, black, red, or green. On top of that there’s a black exoskeleton made of tough polycarbonate. It’s chunky, with a grid pattern that really enhances grip, but it should stand up to knocks and falls. There’s also a handy fold-out stand on the back for propping your OnePlus 2 in the landscape position. Available at: Mobile Fun That’s all the OnePlus 2 cases we have for now, but we’ll add new entries if and when we discover them. Article originally published 8-31-2015.
