There is a catch, though: The PlayStation Vue mobile app is currently only available on iOS devices, so if you’re an Android user, you’re out of luck. Sony hasn’t announced plans for an Android port of the app either, so you might not want to hold your breath. Chromecast support for #PSVue available today; access content via the PS Vue Mobile app from compatible iOS devices: https://t.co/GV1ms8yl00 — PlayStation (@PlayStation) December 15, 2015 With the addition of the Chromecast to the lineup of supported devices, it’s now cheaper than ever to use PlayStation Vue. The device is only $35, and the service itself runs from $50 to $70 dollars per month. The channel lineup doesn’t quite rival a cable subscription, but it offers a lot more channels than competitor Sling TV. Of course, that’s assuming that you can access the full channel lineup. Availability for PlayStation Vue is still quite limited, with the service currently only being offered in New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay area. Users in other locations can only access a handful of channels like Showtime, Epix, and Machinima, all of which can be accessed elsewhere without a cable subscription. Sony is expanding the areas in which the full range of channels is available, but it’s doing so at a fairly slow rate. Related:- The Internet TV wars heat up as Playstation Vue picks up Disney, ESPN, and ABC While Sony continues to add new cities, it’s also adding new channels. Last month the company struck a deal to add ABC, Disney, and ESPN to PlayStation Vue, which brings nearly 20 new channels to the service’s already impressive lineup. Sling TV still offers compatibility with a much wider range of devices, but with the addition of the Chromecast, PlayStation Vue just became a much more attractive option for some people.
