If its anything like what metroPCS is doing, they are changing the password to access the web from what it was to the current msl code in your device. Im not sure if Cricket is doing the same but we ll see.

I'm not having any problems and no reports of outages from customers. I don't think Cricket would risk the amount of customers they would lose if they disabled WAP on CPE phones. Even their new promotions are encouraging people to use NBC phones.

It's a win-win for them. They get new subscriptions which is how Wall Street measures their success, they don't have to subsidize equipment therefore their cost to acquire is lowered, and customers get better phones at better prices.

I don't know about you guys, but in our market, cricket changed their entire system on how they activate phones and where I'm at they are having trouble at times with the new system. This caused quite a few phones to give that "$5 web subscription" error even when the customer had web on their account, but after they get their accounts refreshed and explain to Cricket the error, Cricket seems to be taking care of them.

I'm sorry I viewed the link that you suggested but I am a true beginner at this. Would you be able to walk me through the process of accessing the requird features?

I'm sorry I viewed the link that you suggested but I am a true beginner at this. Would you be able to walk me through the process of accessing the required features?Really a post like this doesn't give much for any one to help with, also this is hijacking a thread. Start a thread in the correct forum for your device and carrier. Be very clear as to what your trying to do, what you've done. What device and what carrier?
Also deleting your post from yesterday 11:49 AM that says the same thing and re-posting it at 12:26 AM today will not gain you any help and could be construded as spamming.

Worked like a charm! If you are updating the IP address on the HTC Hero make sure you install the "autostart application" (root).
