You want something that seamlessly blends in with your bedroom nightstand or office desk, while providing simple functionality at an affordable price. We’ve been scouring the Web’s current offering of iPhone charging docks and below are the best available, from Henge and Elevation Lab to Mophie. Related : Cut the chord and not the sound with these 11 wireless speakers Henge Gravitas Dock ($70) The beauty of a really solid dock, like this one by Henge, is that it won’t shift around when you slide your iPhone in and out of it. Henge uses a dense zinc alloy to produce the Gravitas Dock, which, in turn, has a diameter of just 3.5 inches and weighs in at 2.5 pounds. It comes with a-black insert, so it can accommodate an iPhone 6/6S, iPhone 6/6S Plus, or an iPad Mini. The beauty of this system is that, when a new iPhone comes out, you can just get the new insert. There’s also a USB port for charging and syncing (cable provided), and an audio line out so you can plug in speakers if you want to. Available from: Henge Elago M2 Stand ($20) This simple, aluminum stand looks good and can accommodate any iPhone in portrait or landscape orientation. It features-a cradle with two arms, along with-a couple of pads to stop your iPhone from touching the metal. There’s an opening on the back for cable management. The bottom of the base has pads to cushion it and stop it from slipping. It’s not a heavy stand and it’s not adjustable, but it props up the iPhone at a useful angle and feels fairly sturdy. It also works with cases on, and you can stick any phone in it. It comes in quite a few different colors, including black, silver, grey, champagne, and-rose gold. Available from: Amazon Elevation Dock 3 ($90) Sporting the same textured aluminum finish as Apple’s MacBooks, the Elevation Dock 3 is a really minimalist option. It’s designed to fit the iPhone 6/6S or the iPhone 6/6S Plus. The silicone pads inside cushion your iPhone, and the back can be removed to accommodate a 6S Plus wearing a case. The NanoPads on the bottom are designed to lock onto your desk, so you can use the dock one-handed and it stays stable. It comes with an official Apple Lightning connector and the cable runs out the back. You can get this dock in red, black, blue, and silver anodized aluminum. Available from: Elevation Lab Rokform Docking Station ($100) There’s no chance this dock is slipping off your table, because it weighs more than 3 pounds and it’s crafted from solid aluminum. There’s a Rokform Lightning cable included, and you’ll find an insert to adjust the fit, so you can use it with a naked iPhone or with-most-cases. This dock also has speaker ports designed to enhance and redirect audio, and four hexagonal pads on the bottom protect the surface underneath. You can get it in silver, black, orange, or grey. Available from: Amazon Twelve South HiRise Deluxe Stand ($60) Here’s a smart metal pedestal that’s finished in black, gold, or silver to match your iPhone. The-stand just docks your device at the bottom, so it will take any iPhone or iPad, with or without a case on. You could even use it to charge up an Apple TV Siri remote, or something else. It works with an Apple Lightning Cable or a Micro USB cable, both of which are provided. There’s also a machined dial behind the two metal supports that hold your device, which allows for fine adjustments. It leaves all the rest of your ports, controls, and speakers open, so it’s easy to use your iPhone while it’s sitting in the-stand. Available from: Amazon Next page: Five-more iPhone stands and charging docks Pad & Quill Timber Catchall ($100) This practical bedside stand and tray is designed primarily for an Apple Watch, but there’s also a slot for any size of iPhone, and it’s easy to run a Lightning cable up through the same hole as the Apple Watch’s charging magnet. It’s crafted from a single piece of hardwood, available in your choice of Sapele, Cherry, or Walnut. The finish is really nice and smooth, with rounded corners to boot. There’s even a thoughtful indent at each end of the tray which makes it easy to pick your iPhone up, and there’s an extra tray for keys or loose change. Available from: Amazon Ventev Chargedock 2000 ($35) Frequent flyers will appreciate this device as it combines a charging dock with a portable, 2,000mAh battery. It’s not much of looker — in fact, it’s simple a grey plastic block-—-but it’s very practical. Flipping it open will-reveal a Lightning plug which your iPhone slots onto, and there are four tiny LEDs on the top to show remaining power in the battery. There’s also a Micro USB port on-the back for charging with the included cable. Ventev even has-a newer version of this in the works-(aka the-Charge Stand), with a few extra features, such as-support for landscape orientation and a bigger, 3,000mAh battery. Available from: Amazon Grovemade iPhone Dock ($100) Donning a oiled, hand-sanded finish with a steel base and wooden top,-this dock is a really stylish option. It’s heavy at 3 pounds, too, so you can easily dock your iPhone and remove it one-handed. The groove is big enough to accommodate some slimmer cases, but unfortunately, you’ll need to insert your own Lightning cable and it’s a bit fiddly. There’s no danger of it coming loose once it’s secure, though. This one’s really all about the look, with maple on silver steel or walnut on black. There’s also a very subtle Grovemade logo on the front. Available from: Grovemade Fuz Everdock Duo Docking Station ($70) The idea behind this dock is that you can charge up two devices at once. It features an aluminum base available in black, silver, or space grey, with removable silicone pads to cushion a naked iPhone (you can take them out if you use a case). It’s designed to be used with your own charging cables, so it can accommodate any device. You could use it to charge your iPhone and an Android device, or your iPhone and a tablet. The base even has micro-suction pads to stop it from moving around. Available from: Amazon Mophie Desktop Dock ($80) This is a simple, stable dock that comes in black or gold. It will fit the 6/6S or the 5/5S/5C, and can accommodate most cases, though it’s worth noting that Mophie also makes a separate dock for iPhones that sport-a Mophie Juice Pack. There’s a USB cable to plug in for charging, and the Lightning connector can pivot. There’s a simple Mophie logo on the front, yet-that’s the only real detail to speak of, so this dock will blend in with most surroundings. Available from: Amazon Those are all the iPhone stands and docks we have right now, but check back for more soon.
