Now you can call, text, email, take pictures, and vape from a single unit that combines all of those activities-in a “phone you smoke.” The Vaporcade Jupiter is dubbed “the world’s first and only cellular vaporizer,” and the product appears to be a fascinating mashup of one part powerful communications device and one part vape gadget. The e-cigarette part is clear enough, and while the smartphone side of it boasts three models, one 4G and two more with 3G capabilities, some may question what the underlying phone will-be all about because any further details are scant. The Jupiter runs on Android KitKat 4.4 and features an-LED light band, Vaporcade’s proprietary vaping app, and a-shuttle that delivers 30 nectar flavors and allows for combinations.-A mouthpiece with an optional hookah nose is also available. Vaporcade-expects the world as we know it to change as it brings the ability to vape fluids, medicines, and nutraceuticals through its-“life-altering” device. That last paragraph may include a lot of hyperbole, which happens when there is a lot of marketing to sift through. For what it is worth, the company is reported to be working with Herbert A. Gilbert, who is recognized by the community as a forefather of the electronic cigarette. Back in 1965, Gilbert was the first to invent and patent such a device. Blackley has a history that boasts achievements in bringing video games to life, including System Shock and- Ultima Underworld , and co-creating the Xbox. Cameron is the younger brother of famous Hollywood director James Cameron. Since retiring from the United States Marine Corps, the younger Cameron has served as a consultant on a number of his brother’s films. Of course, vaping in Los Angeles at certain locations was banned over a year ago, so the product-is probably not intended for this particular market. The devices are available for pre-order at $299 for the 3G model level and $499 for the 4G product.
