Moving forward, people will be able to add important information to their notifications, all of which can be viewed in a single place in Facebook. The refreshed notifications tools let users tweak birthdays and other live events, sports scores and TV reminders, and details about future events to which they've RVSP'd. Facebook is taking it a step further by enabling location-based notifications, such as those concerning local events, weather, movie times, points of interest, and nearby restaurants. Facebook say users' current notifications settings will not be changed; rather, users simply have more options for personalizing notifications to suit their needs. The new feature is being made available to U.S. slowly over the next dew weeks.
